Forza Motorsport 3 - Raw Demo Impressions

I also posted this on pinoyxbox.com ************* Finished downloading Forza 3 at 1:45AM. Finished playing the demo at around 2:40AM. Unbelievable, completely lives up to the hype; everything they've said about this game is true. I'm shocked at how much fun it was to play for a 'simulator'! The other day I was trying out Need for Speed Shift, which, at the end of the day, really reminded me of Grid/PGR. This one....this is an animal all its own, it just FEELS so different in terms of driving model, and that's what seems to make it special. The 60FPS really does help enhance the 'feel' of the driving, and the way the cars move and behave is like no other driving game I've ever played before. Perhaps Forza 2 is the only game that comes close. I'm surprised they were able to even surpass that! When I first bought my PS3 one of the games I purchased with high hopes was Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, which had those dazzling cutscenes playing back on most websi...

Killzone 2 Demo - First Impressions!

Just finished playing the Killzone 2 demo - first impressions: - Graphics are very well done; lots of stuff happening in the background, lots of explosions, particle effects, smoke, etc. 'Cinematic' is the best word to describe it. It's the first word in my mind the moment you step off into the world of the game. - Gameplay seems okay; perhaps it would be better if I had a Dual shock controller. I'm still using the Sixaxis controller that came with my PS3. - If I had one thing to complain about, it would have to be the cover system: Press L2 to cover, then... Press UP on the stick to look around (or left or right if you have to look on the left or right wall) Now, note that you CAN'T let go of L2 unless you want to leave cover. If you let go of L2, your character removes himself from cover and you're exposed again. L2 is also the CROUCH button so it gets slightly confusing for me. Now, to aim while in cover, you press L2, UP/LEFT/RIGHT, AND click the right thumb...

Killzone 2 Demo on UK PSN Store

The Killzone 2 Demo is up on the UK PSN store; it's 1207MB. It will be up officially for North America and Europe on February 26. What is Sony thinking??? They should get this game available to as many people as possible, right now. I don't think should have just limited its release to Europe only. They need a lot of buzz for their game, and it isn't helping that they had to have some weird release schedule for their demo like this. From what I've read, there doesn't seem to be anything stopping anyone from making a European PSN account to download the demo.... hmm....
